Realizing that few were up to the task, I built The Demo Reel Forge™ with my blood, sweat, and tears. Then, I swore an oath…
“For as long as I live, no voice actor will ever have to live in fear of making a demo reel… because from today onward, they will be feared for their demo reels!”
Role-playing aside, we truly are passionate about ensuring a stress-free, personalized demo creation process from start to finish. Your demo is important to us, because for every demo that we create, we put out reputation at stake. It is our goal to ensure that when your demo comes out of the forge, you can send it to clients, thinking, “This demo is my secret weapon.”
The Team
Dave – Voice Actor/Creative Director/Coach
I like to fight dragons and aliens from a tiny wooden box. I’m also obsessed with making sure your demos as personalized. I fanboy over our team and the talent we work with. I love my fiancee April.
April – Production Manager
My lovely fiancee, who happens to be the team’s energizer bunny, cheerleader, and disciplinarian (did I just put those in the same sentence)? Not everyone sees her thanks to her day job, but little do they know that she makes a lot happen behind the scenes and ensures that deadlines are met and that I’m sane (when I can be). She’s also the reason the Forge exists to begin with.
Zack – Writer/Voice Actor/Coach
Writer by day, guild master by noon, uncle by night (make that 24/7). Zack has such a vivid imagination that he can see his niece’s imaginary friends– and make them. He has the unique background of having been part of a production company, being a business photographer, and helping people design their personal brands.
Sarah – Voice Actor/Coach
Our resident fairygod (or nymph, or elf) coach who will make sure you find your happy place and do your best female reads during a session! While any performance that Sarah touches turns into candy reminiscent of your fondest childhood memories and your wildest dreams combined, she also gets bored when you don’t have any variety in your reads. Don’t get Sarah bored. You wouldn’t like Sarah when she’s bored.
Jayson – Audio Engineer/Sound Designer
Our best kept secret. He doesn’t always talk… because he wants to make sure his FX Chain and acoustics are perfect, first. This Computer Science graduate, church drummer, audio geek, programmer, and soon-to-be Pro Tools Certified User, will make sure that “the details are in the demo”.
Karl – Animator/Graphic Artist
While we voice actors bring characters to life… Karl makes the characters! The first member of the team, Karl was there before God created the heavens and the earth. Ever since, he has worked tirelessly to lay down the first bricks of The Forge, and is currently making sure they stay there. Rumor has it that he’s already built his own country with bricks…
